Max and I wish you a very, very, Merry Christmas! Here is the only Christmas song that I have ever written. The lyrics are based upon a poem by Gloria Krause. If you don't know the story, Gloria was a big fan of the Second Line Jazz Band. One evening after a performance, Gloria brought me a poem that she had written and asked if I could set it to music. As I wait for my Columbus Day dinner of lasagna to cook, I am looking out my window at a million dollar view of the lake that lies below our campsite. In the far distance I can see the tops of the mountains that define the Continental Divide. Max is outside dashing from tree to tree and sniffing every blade of grass.
