Jim began selling real estate in the Austin area in 1979. Working for a large new home builder, he won numerous sales awards and listing awards. Jim eventually opened his own brokerage firm, Ivy Realty Consultants. He has assisted both buyers and sellers on transactions ranging from affordable first homes to stunning show homes in some of Austins finest neighborhoods.
In 1995 Jim joined Dell Computer and worked in high tech until 2007. While at Dell, Jim gained experience servicing and negotiating with large Fortune 500 companies. After retiring from Dell, Jim returned to the real estate profession.
He has earned GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) and CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert) certifications. For you that means that Jim has made the extra effort to become trained and certified so that he can better represent you in your negotiations.
Jim currently lives just outside Austin in Williamson County, Texas. He has four grown children and two grand children. In addition to his professional interest in real estate, Jim is an active jazz musician who performs regularly in and around Austin.
